2009 Michigan Travel Ideas Now Available
Free Official State Travel Guide is Filled with Pure Michigan Adventures
The 2009 Michigan Travel Ideas magazine is now available free of charge from Travel Michigan, the state’s tourism promotion office (michigan.org). The 120-page, full-color travel guide is packed with tips for exploring the Great Lakes State in all four seasons.
“Michigan Travel Ideas continues to feature several articles and photography complemented by handy recreation guides and additional resources for planning any type of trip to our state, whether it’s a getaway weekend to a city or a week-long outdoor adventure,” said Travel Michigan Vice President George Zimmermann.
2009 Issue Highlights
This year’s issue opens with Michigan Moments: Things to See and Do in Michigan. This ten page article is a colorful prologue to an additional 12 features. Each article explores more fully Pure Michigan travel ideas and vacation tips with exciting photography.
Winter in Michigan is both cool and fun and Perfect Winter Getaways offers a sampling of how to overcome cabin fever. Ideas include a grown-up getaway weekend or a snow sport adventure. Travel far north and venture to the Upper Peninsula with Spirit of the Wild for a look at a region almost unchanged since early Native Americans hunted and traveled its forests and shores.
