Apple iOS 4.1: Find Out What’s New
Apple’s September 1st media event started with the introduction of the company’s latest operating system update, iOS 4.1.
One of the highlights of the release are the High Dynamic Range Photos, a software that takes three different images – a under, a normal and an over exposed one and combines them into a flawless photo.
Because multimedia is now in the spotlight, the new update will also allow users to upload their HD videos over WiFi and to access TV Show rentals.
There’s also a Game Center, created for users who play a lot on their Apple gadgets, iPods, iPhones or iPads. The Game Center will allow them to play multiplayer games and challenge their friends to join them.
Jobs also introduced a game from Epic Games, named Project Sword that will change the face of iPod/iPad gaming. It will be available this holiday.
Jobs also showed the world a sneek peek of iOS 4.2, with some neat features for the iPad.
