Argentina vs. Mexico: Tevez sends Mexico home

Argentina won 3-1 against Mexico in the first South American World Cup 2010 round of 16 duel.

Carlos Tevez was the best player of a team that showed they were the better of the two.

Even if the game started quite slowly, with the two teams teasing each other and both had some opportunities, nothing much happened in the first 20 minutes.

That was until Tevez decided to show his talent once again. Messi created another great football moment, and Tevez coolly put the ball in with his head. The Mexicans argued about an offside position, but the Italian referee decided that the goal stands.

Osorio the made a huge mistake in front of Higuain seven minutes later and he didn’t disappoint. Tevez then scored again for 3-0 and it all basically ended for Mexico, even if they took one back in the 71st minute.

Argentina goes through and will meet Germany in the quarter-finals.

I’m Argentinian, and your team needs much more than just ‘defense. You need actual composer, skill and teamwork. Mexico was garbage and Argentina put you on display for the world to see. Adios, Amigo.
