Chelsey Gullickson Overpowered by an Eager Wozniacki

Chelsey Gyllickson failed to qualify for the next round of the 2010 US Open after she was defeated by a dominant Caroline Wozniacki.

They had to be patient and wait to take the court but when the time arrived Caroline Wozniacki showed everybody that her previous victory against Nadia Petrova had nothing to do with luck.

She dispatched Gullickson with a power game and impressive strokes, 6-1, 6-1. After this victory she will face Kai-Chen Chang from Taipei, in the next round of US Open.

The first round of the US Open 2010 didn’t provide much surprise except Lleyton Hewitt elimination – Venus Williams, Andy Roddick and Kim Clijsters all advanced.

Rafael Nadal struggled against Teymuraz Gabashvili in a three hour game that he eventually won.

A highlight of the round was Roger Federer’s special shot in his first game against Argentinian Brian Dabul.
