The U.S. Dept of Energy’s 2009 Solar Decathon was such an incredible experience for us. As a graduate student in architecture, I realize the invaluable knowledge we have gained by participating. We are so proud to have gone to this outstanding and prestigious international competition to proudly represent the University of Louisiana at Lafayette, Southern Culture, and the State of Louisiana. Bringing home the market viability and people’s choice award really shows that we did our best to meet the needs and desires of the people by designing a home that’s hurricane resistant and culturally-relevant.

How is it fair to leagalize these people? I'm not racist or hating, but all we would be doing is rewarding them for breaking the law. We would be paying for them to stay when they are not even supposed to be here in the first place. Why should we help them. Would we pay for other law breakers to get off? All we would be doing is encourage their behavior, and inviting more of them to come. We have been spending so much money thus far to keep them out... why are we now beconing for them to come? Given, they do alot of jobs that don't appeal to most, but those are still our jobs. So explain to me how rewarding them helps us? We would be putting our country into greater debt than it already is... for them. Can we afford this to happen?

MediaCurves.com just conducted a study asking 500 Americans about who they wanted to win this year’s 61st Emmy awards, based on the recently revealed nominations. The results found that that Fox’s, ‘House’ is the viewers’ favorite to win the Emmy for the best drama series. The results also found that viewers’ favorites in the reality show category include Fox’s ‘American Idol’ and ABC’s ‘Dancing with the Stars.’ More in depth results can be seen at: http://www.mediacurves.com/Entertainment/J7522-Emmy-Nominations/Index.cfm
Thanks,
Ben
