Google’s Android outsells the iPhone

Google's Android outsells the iPhone Android, the mobile operating system from Google, grabs second place in sales of smartphones over Apple’s iPhone in the United States. RIM, maker of the popular Blackberry, remains leader reaching the U.S. market share of 36%.

The analyst firm NPD Group which is responsible for the success smartphones of the mobile telephony sector, has published the first quarter sales data of the U.S. market for smartphones. Most striking is the rise of Android-equipped terminals, which account for 28% of total sales, exceeding Apple’s iPhone is maintained with a 21% share. Globally the first place is held by Nokia with 21.5 million units sold.

According to experts, the best figures achieved Android, with 34 terminals on the market, responds to an optimal advertising strategy at operators such as Vodafone and Verizon. Apple, meanwhile, is sold exclusively with the carrier AT & T.

    The meteoric rise of the Droids has very little to do with Jobs & Apple’s arrogance. Although I thank them for it because it only allows my Droids to gain traction even faster. I predicted that we would be the downfall of Palm. See, now that has happened. Droids will be everywhere in your world in less than three of your earth years. I have Hans scheduled to make another drop shipment in two of your earth days then jump back to hyperspace to fill an order on Tatooine.
