The man considered by many Hezbollah’s most influential spiritual leader, Grand Ayatollah Mohammed Hussein Fadlallah passed away, according to his office.

Fadlallah chose to distance himself from the movement’s leadership that was strongly influenced by Iran and was considered by many a great national and spiritual scholar.

Further details about the event are expected to be released by his staff. However, two days ago CNN reported that Ayatollah Mohammed Hussein Fadlallah was in a critical condition in a hospital in Lebanon.
