IPL Final live streaming for free on YouTube

Fans of the Indian Premier League cricket in the US will be very happy to hear that the IPL final is available for free live streaming on YouTube.

This is good news especially for Indians living in other countries across the world, which just might like to see their favourite team playing in live video action. Google (YouYube’s owner) has announced that the IPL final will be streamed live on YouTube. Until now, transmissions from the Indian Premier league were a little delayed, not real-time.

Google has announced that the semifinals and finals will both be available. What’s even more interesting is that until now, the number of users watching the games in India was only surpassed by the US numbers.

The number of views was quite amazing, too – over 40 million views. Google has managed to get the exclusive online rights for the competition and sponsorship and advertising revenue will be shared between the American online giant and the IPL.

The online rights have been granted to Google for a period of two years.

Today is the day of the final, a very interesting game, opposing two very strong teams – the Chenai Super Kings and the Mumbai Indians.
