Kara DioGuardi to Leave American Idol
Kara DioGuardi is leaving American Idol, FOX announced Friday.
After weeks of speculation, Kara is leaving the show after the departures of another judges, Simon Cowell and Ellen DeGeneres.
Jennifer Lopez and Steven Tyler are rumored to be new judges on the American Idol show. Other celebrities that have been rumored as possibilities to fill the judge role include Shania Twain, Chris Isaak, Elton John and Harry Connick Jr.
Kara DioGuardi departure from American Idol, leaves Randy Jackson the last judge standing.
“I felt like I won the lottery when I joined `American Idol’ two years ago, but I feel like now is the best time to leave `Idol,’” DioGuardi said in a statement Friday.
