Kuchar’s Barclays Victory Gets Him a $1.35 million check

Matt Kuchar was able to win the Barclays 2010 tournament and get his hands on a 1.35 million check after he defeated Martin Laird in the playoffs.

Laird, a player who hasn’t attracted much attention until now was almost able to surprise everybody and win his first PGA Tour at the Barclays.

Unfortunately he made a mistake in a crucial moment with a clumsy hit on the green. It was enough for the American to take advantage of the situation and end the round and the tournament with a precise shot.

Laird didn’t seem to take the defeat too easily, stating that obviously it wasn’t the finish he was looking for.

Even if it didn’t ended with his victory, the Barclays was quite a good tournament for Tiger Woods, who showed us some moves of the ‘old’ Tiger.

He will be able to try his moves again as he qualified for next week’s Deutsche Bank Championship in Boston.
