Lance Berkman, Austin Kearns, More Strong Players for the Yankees
The New York Yankees are building a dream team by adding more strong players, like switch-hitter Lance Berkman and outfielder Austin Kearns to an already solid lineup.
They are trying everything to protect their crown from the increasingly dangerous Tampa Bay Rays.
Even if his last season in Houston wasn’t spectacular, hitting .245 with 13 homers and 49 RBIs Berkman is still a great all rounder and a patient hitter.
The experienced 34 year old player decided to waive his no-trade clause and join the Yankees, a team that has always been close to his heart.
The other player that joined the Yankees, Austin Kearns is, as manager Joe Girardi said, ‘experienced right-handed bat with power’.
He came from the Indians after a switch with a player whose name is still unknown.
