“Love The Way You Lie” – Eminem feat. Rihanna breaks YouTube Record!

The video for “Love The Way You Lie”, the first single of Eminem featuring Rihanna was released just a week ago and already the YouTube video has hit more than 6.6 million views in a single day! This is the first time a video has been so popular in just one day.

In the last week the video has reached its 22 million views mark, an impressive number considering the fact that is was released just a 5 days ago. The video features Megan Fox (who won the a surfboard for Choice Female Hottie for the second time in a row at the Teen Choice Awards) and actor Dominic Monaghan, famous for his roles in Lord of The Rings and the rock band player Charlie from Lost.

The story is about a couple who fight and then make up in a passionate sweet love. The song contains the line “I guess that’s why they call it window pain”, a lyric that is perfect for the video.

Recently Megan Fox announced she’s donating her paycheck got after filming “Love The Way You Lie” to a women’s shelter named Sojourn House. The young actress is trying to prove she’s not just a sex symbol, she’s also a serious woman, especially since the video contains some fight scenes which could be offensive to abused wives.

Eminem’s latest album, Recovery was released this year and Love The Way You Lie is the second single released. It hit the charts and bowed at no. 1 on Billboard top 200 Albums chart and held the slot for 5 weeks in a row. Kanye West’s video for “Power” was released the same day as Love The Way You Lie but it reached only the 1.4 million views mark in the first day.
