Mexico – Uruguay 0-1: Uruguay leading Mexico at halftime
Mexico and Uruguay have provided us with an entertaining World Cup 2010 football first half.
The two teams played some attractive football, and Uruguay has managed to score, just before the half-time whistle.
Many people predicted a very dull encounter between Mexico and Uruguay, especially since Mexico are unbeaten and Uruguay are group leaders. A draw in this one sends both teams to the next stage and the game between France and South Africa doesn’t affect this.
The two teams didn’t seem like they were satisified with a point each and played some good football. Both looked like they wanted to score and make sure they don’t risk their progress.
Guardado, Forlan and Giovani all had great opportunities to score, but it didn’t happen until very close to halftime. Luis Suarez managed to score for Uruguay in the 39th minute.
