Microsoft’s Bing turns up the heat in war with Google

Microsoft is not happy with the fact that Google is the most used search engine in the world so has turned up the heat in the almost never ending Google-Microsoft war!
On Tuesday Microsoft unveiled new features for Bing, features which will make Microsoft’s search engine more than just a search site. It will have entertainment page where users will get to watch TV shows, will be able to play games, listen to music and read news, all without leaving Bing. Perhaps Microsoft got inspired from Yahoo!’s page.
The giant internet company is trying to make Bing be a more useful site, so people won’t leave the search engine after finding what they were looking for. Microsoft wants to let users live within its search engine so they won’t go to another site, and most certainly not to Google! It seems that Microsoft wants to keep the users in one place only, a place where they can find exactly what they need.
Also, the company will enhance Bing’s handling of entertainment – related queries, a very popular area among Internet users, travel, shopping and even health.
Even though Bing has been on the market for a while now, it hasn’t made much of a dent. The market share for April was 70% for Google and 9,43% for Bing. Online analysts, such as Dan Olds from Gabriel Consulting Group, are confident that the enhancements of Microsoft’s Bing is going to be very useful for users and the search engine might start chipping away at some of Google‘s substantial market lead.
