Palmdale fire: Crown fire destroys huge area
The Crown fire, as it was called by the media, has reached LA County on July 30.
Among the affected regions are Palmdale, Leona Valley, Annaverde, as well as Ritter Ranch and more than 15000 houses are threatened by the fire.
Hundreds of firefighters are working on containing the fire, and the area it has already affected is around five thousand acres. People living in the affected areas have been advised to try to keep their car and house windows shut for as long as they can because of the smoke the fire has released into the air.
Around 2000 homes in the Palmdale area, as well as Leona Valley, had to be evacuated on Friday.
Southern California has been hit by two more wildfires this week. The first one was called the Bullfire and it happened southeast of Tehachapi. The second one is the West Fire, northwest of Tehachapi, near the Sequoia National Forest.
