Pastor Terry Jones: Dove World Outreach Center goes ahead as planned
Pastor Terry Jones of the Dove World Outreach Center plans to go ahead with his Quran burning actions.
At least that’s what he announced in a media appearance today.
The pastor in Gainesville, FL, is planning a burning of the Koran on September 11, as a symbolic gesture that many have said will have grave consequences.
The man that started the “International Burn a Koran Day” has no intentions to back off. He says that there was a lot of pressure on them, but their intentions also received a lot of support.
He added that a retired Green Beret has told him that the troops are behind him and that there were times when hospitals and churches that had lots of Christians in them have been burned, and the soldiers couldn’t fight back. This was because of international pressure.
Pastor Terry Jones has also added that they are trying to send a message about things being wrong with the policies and that they would go on with the event as planned.
Well, Mr. Jones, you certainly have the same rights as flag burners. You have the right to disrespect others and expect the same from them … that’s only fair, isn’t it, and I’m sure you want to be fair.
So, take your version of a stand against radical, militant Islam and don’t be in the least bit surprised who comes knocking on your door. It probably won’t be the FBI or the CIA, it will most likely be some Al Quaeda representative come to thank you for your efforts on behalf of his recruiting efforts.
Then, he’ll probably shoot you for your insolence.

1) I am (for once) sincerely grateful that I live in a country far far away from the US when this said “burn day” is to take place. (Even though it is South Africa and people are getting raped and murdered by the minute, I fear the reaction of the Islamic people will be far far worse)

Christians cannot force their religion on Muslims, any more than they can force it on Christians.
