Randall Cunningham, the NFL quarterback who retired in 2002, is still in shock after his two year old son, Christian Cunningham passed away.
The young boy was found in a pool in the backyard of their Las Vegas home, the same pool that was used by Randall, who became a minister, for baptisms.
The woman who found him was watching over several other children in the Cunningham house when she found the child floating in the water. Despite CPR, the efforts of the paramedics and the intervention of the doctors at the St. Rose Dominican Hospital, he could not be saved.
Soon after the people found out about the tragedy, more than 100 friends and neighbors gathered at the church in which Cunningham preaches. The family could not be contacted for statements, but church members said that their faith will help them in these hard times.
