Salmonella cases up in Texas: No link to egg recall yet
Salmonella cases have went up lately in Texas, but a link to the egg recall was not found yet.
Over 150 salmonella cases have been reported in Texas since the middle of the month of May, but a direct link is still not clear, six of these in Dallas County.
As you may know, there is a recall of 380 million eggs in progress. The eggs have been produced by a company in Iowa called Wright County Egg.
They are hard to trace for a number of reasons. Some of these have made their way to restaurants, or eggs from different sources have been mixed in cartons.
Salmonella is one of the most common forms of food poisoning at the moment.
The essential details of the egg recall can be found here.
