Spain – Germany to be refereed by Hungarian official

Spain and Germany meet in what should be a very spectacular World Cup 2010 game.

This semifinal clash will be refereed by Hungarian Viktor Kassai, a referee that has already been at the helm of two group stage matches, as well as the United States vs. Ghana game in the knockout stage.

He was only supposed to be a fourth official in the round of 16, but his good performances have made FIFA choose him to lead the USA vs. Ghana game.

Kassai performed well and that earned him the honor to referee this semifinal.

The Hungarian is a full international referee for FIFA since 2003 and is 34 years old. He is a tourism expert in everyday life.

A tourism expert tha will have to lay down the law on the field in what is the most important game of his career so far.
