StarCraft II Pokes a Little Fun of Apple

StarCraft II’s famous commercials that play during some cut scenes of the game have attracted a lot of attention, but none like the extremely funny piece that makes fun of Apple’s iPod marketing campaign.

The video shows a terran marine making some smart moves, with a white pistol in his hand, connected to something that looks like an iPod at his hip.

The artsy background behind him and the new wave music playing might seem pretty Apple like, but everything becomes clear when you hear the epic voice shouting ‘ Take your shot at life, iPistol.’

A pretty funny message is also displayed on the screen after the marine fades away: ‘ Advanced Targeting 3.0’, creating a subtle reference to the new versions of Apple’s iOS.

StarCraft II: Wings of Liberty was finally released on July 27, 2010, as unbelievable as this might seem for hardcore gamers who have been expecting it for 12 long, long years.
