Sunscreens, Sunlight and Skin Cancer

Sunscreens skin cancer

Sunscreens, the ones that we rub on our skin when going out on sun can activate, rather than prevent, the risk of cancer. This is what is apparent from the results of a recent study. 50% of the 500 analyzed protectors are detrimental rather than beneficial.

We can not rely on anything or anyone. They say that continued exposure to sunlight can lead to skin cancer. To avoid this there are two solutions, never being in the sun, winter or summer, forgetting the beach and mountains, or smearing our skin with sunscreen. If we want to enjoy the warm summer days, we better use some skin protectors that protect the skin against the action of light rays and heat with the highest intensity.

But apparently not all sunscreens are what they should be. After analyzing five hundred of these products has found that almost half contain vitamin A, a substance that accelerates the development of cancer cells. Buying a therapeutic product in order to avoid the negative effects you can end up with a product that does not prevent anything or even helps things to go wrong.

The study of Environmental Working Group confirms the damage some sunscreen make, which contradicts the one carried out a decade ago by the Food and Drug Administration, which did not take into account the risk of vitamin A as a component of these products.
