Thierry Henry retires from international soccer

Thierry Henry, the latest New York Red Bulls signing, has announced that he is retiring from international soccer.

His national team, France, has a terrible performance at the World Cup in South Africa and the star striker has said today that it is the end of his international career.

He has thus confirmed that he would not be trying to retain his position in the France national team following his move to the MLS.

The player added that he has already made up his mind about giving up international soccer before the World Cup, but that he did not want this decision to influence the French team, so the team’s performance did not play a part in this.

Henry also said that many of the stories about the French camp at the World Cup have been made up.
