UFC 116: UFC will ban Vuvuzelas in Las Vegas

no-vuvuzelaUFC 116: UFC announced the banning of Vuvuzelas at Saturday’s UFC 116 event in Las Vegas.

The African noise-makers come into the public attention due to their use at 2010 World Cup in South Africa.

The constantly annoying sound was very unconfortable for television audiences, coaches and players.

“This decision was pretty simple for me,” UFC President Dana White said in today’s press release. “Vuvuzelas make the most horrific sound I’ve ever heard. I’d rather let Brock punch me in the face than hear 15,000 people blow on those things. This is the biggest heavyweight fight we’ve ever done. We’ll make enough noise this weekend when Brock and Shane finally step inside the Octagon.”

Watch UFC 116 live on Spike TV and pay-per-view this Saturday from the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas. The headline of the event will be by the UFC Heavyweight Championship match between Brock Lesnar and Shane Carwin.
